Zomato’s Deepender Goyal ends tension of change money with this new feature

Zomato ceo Deepinder Goyal: Now it will be easier for you to order food from Zomato. People who choose the cash on delivery option will benefit from this. Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal has launched a new feature, which will end the hassle of change money. Customers who order cash on delivery can now ask the ‘delivery person’ to add it to their ‘Zomato Money’ account if there is any balance during cash payment.

The company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Deepinder Goyal said on Wednesday that customers can use this amount to place future orders or eat out. He thanked Tata Group company BigBasket for the inspiration behind this idea. Goyal said on the social media platform ‘X’, “Sometimes it can be difficult to get change on orders paid in cash. From today, our customers can pay the delivery partner in cash, and ask for the remaining amount to be added to their ‘Zomato Money’ account instantly.

This amount can be used for future orders or eating out. He said, “Thanks to BigBasket for inspiring this solution and thanks to our delivery partners (three of them are working with us as product managers) for insisting that we develop it as soon as possible.
The company had reported last week that its consolidated net profit for the first (April-June) quarter of the current financial year has reached Rs 253 crore. In the same period of the last financial year, it was just Rs 2 crore.
