What is the significance of doing 16 adornments on Hartalika Teej

Hartalika Teej 2024: In Sanatan Dharma, married women worship Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati to get the boon of unbroken good fortune and ask them for the boon of being a married woman forever. It is believed that by observing Teej fast, married women get the boon of being unbroken good fortune.

Hartalika Teej is celebrated on the Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month.This year Hartalika Teej will be celebrated on 6th September.

Sixteen Shringar is a ritual in which women wear some or the other symbol of marital bliss from head to toe. It includes things like a bindi on the forehead, sindoor in the parting of hair, bangles and bracelets in the hands and anklets in the feet. Every woman has to wear these regularly after marriage.
