Arghya

The method to please the Sun God is simple. He can be pleased by regularly offering prayers to him. Those who worship Lord Surya with respect and regularly every day without breaking the rules, get the fruits related to it quickly.

Let us tell you that the Sun God is a man of rules, he comes and goes according to the time, so the person who worships the Sun should get ready by taking bath before the arrival of Lord Bhaskar. It is considered best to offer water to the Sun God as soon as he arrives, seeing his redness, so the sooner you offer Arghya, the better it will be for you.

How to offer arghya

It is best to use a copper vessel for offering arghya. Holding the vessel with both hands, one should raise the hands above the head and offer arghya so that one can see the Sun God through the stream. The copper vessel should be of at least one or half a litre capacity so that the stream can be formed properly. Another thing that you have to take special care of is that the water should not flow into the drain or any dirty place and neither should it splash on your feet. For this, a clean vessel or pot should be kept so that the water of arghya goes directly into that vessel. Also keep in mind that there should not be a Tulsi plant in the pot

Mantra

While offering Arghya, one should chant “Om Namo Narayanaya Mantra”, Om Bhaskaraya Namah or Gayatri Mantra 108 times and at least 28 times or 10 times.
