This election will end the rule of three families in Jammu & Kashmir: Amit Shah

Jammu-Kashmir elections: Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a public meeting in Mendhar, Jammu and Kashmir. During this, he said that these elections are going to end the rule of three families in Jammu and Kashmir. Abdullah family, Mufti family and Nehru-Gandhi family… these three families had stopped democracy here. If Modi ji’s government had not come in 2014, then panchayat, block, district elections would not have taken place.

He further said, Abdullah, Mufti and Nehru-Gandhi family spread terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir from the 90s till now. Today, the BJP government led by Narendra Modi has ended terrorism from Jammu and Kashmir. Laptops have been given to the youth here instead of stones.

He also said, after Modi ji came to power, OBCs, backward classes, Gujjar Bakarwals and Paharis got reservation. When I presented the bill, Farooq Abdullah’s party opposed it and started instigating Gujjar brothers here. When I came to Rajouri, I had promised that we will not reduce the reservation of Gujjar brothers and will also give reservation to Paharis… and we kept that promise.

These people (Congress and National Conference) have said that they will end reservation, while we (BJP) are saying that we will give reservation to Gujjars, Bakarwals and Paharis even in promotions. Do you remember how much firing used to take place in Jammu and Kashmir in the 90s…does firing take place now? Earlier firing used to take place here because the leaders here were afraid of Pakistan, now Pakistan is afraid of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They do not have the courage to open fire and if they open fire, the bullets will be answered with shells.
