Tata power aims big, opportunity to invest

Tata Group company Tata Power is making big plans for the next financial year. It will invest Rs 20,000 crore in the next financial year i.e. 2025. Company chairman N. Chandrasekaran gave information about this. Most of this investment will be invested in expanding the company’s renewable energy sector and the rest in power transmission and distribution business. He told this to the shareholders during the company’s 105th AGM.

An investment of Rs 12000 crore was made in 2024

Tata Power has planned to invest Rs 20,000 crore in the financial year 2025. This is more than the investment of Rs 12,000 crore made in the financial year 2024. This information was given by Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran. Apart from this, Tata Power will also participate in small modular nuclear reactors after getting permission from the government. Also, the company will also look for new opportunities for power distribution in other states.

Aim to increase clean energy portfolio
N. Chandrasekaran said that the company aims to increase its clean energy portfolio from the current 9 GW to 15 GW in the next 5 years. This will be done through both existing and ongoing projects. Apart from this, the company aims to reach 50 million customers from the current 12.5 million customers through the expansion of its distribution business.

5,500 chargers in more than 530 cities
Tata Power is in the process of setting up a 4.3 GW solar cell and module manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu. In the electric vehicle charging sector, the company has 5,500 public and private chargers in more than 530 cities. Apart from this, more than 86,000 domestic chargers have been installed. Chairman N. Chandrasekaran gave information related to this to the shareholders.
