X suspended in Brazil : The conflict between Elon Musk and the Supreme Court of Brazil is increasing. X (formerly Dwiter) has been suspended after Elon Musk failed to declare the name of the legal representative within the deadline set by the Supreme Court judge in Brazil.
The court said in its decision that this order will remain valid until a representative of the company is appointed in the country. The judge has ordered immediate and complete suspension. Musk closed the office of X in Brazil last week. On Friday, the bank accounts of Starlink, a unit of Musk’s space company in Brazil, were frozen.
This whole matter is related to free speech and the spread of misinformation through X. How long will Elon Musk’s X remain banned? Brazil’s Supreme Court judge Alexandre de Moraes said that X will remain banned until it complies with the orders. Under this, the social media company has to pay more than $300 million as a fine and also appoint a legal representative.
