Rajkot: Indian women’s team’s star batsman Smriti Mandhana has scored a century in the third ODI match being played in Rajkot against Ireland. Mandhana scored a century in just 70 balls which is the fastest century for India by any batsman in women’s cricket. Mandhana surpassed Harmanpreet Kaur in this matter, who scored a century in 87 balls against South Africa last year.
This is Mandhana’s 10th century in her ODI career and she has become the joint third batsman to score the most centuries in women’s ODI cricket history. The record for scoring the most centuries in the 50-over format among women is held by Meg Lanning who has scored 15 centuries.
