Hartalika Teej 2024: In Hinduism, married women observe the fast of Hartalika Teej for the long life of their husbands. Hartalika Teej has special religious significance in Hinduism. According to the Hindu calendar, the fast of Hartalika Teej is observed on the Tritiya Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month.
The fast of Hartalika Teej will be observed on Friday, September 6. Many auspicious yogas are being formed on this fast. On this day, there is Shukla Yoga which will last till 10.14 pm and along with this, an auspicious combination of Gar, Vanij and Hasta Nakshatra is being formed.
This year, on Hartalika Teej, the Moon is going to be in Libra, which increases the importance of the puja even more.
On this day, women make temporary idols of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati out of sand or clay. The idols are then worshipped in a special ritual to pray for a happy and fulfilling married life. Usually, the morning time is considered most auspicious for Hartalika Puja.
However, if morning puja is not possible, then Pradosh time in the evening is also considered suitable for Shiva-Parvati Puja.
