Security forces killed three terrorists in Baramulla; Two soldiers martyred in Kishtwar

Jammu-Kashmir:  Army operation against terrorism continues in Jammu and Kashmir. In this episode, security forces have killed three terrorists in Baramulla. On Saturday (September 14, 2024) morning, the local police confirmed the killing of three terrorists in a joint operation of the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police. Earlier, two soldiers including a JCO were martyred on Friday in an encounter in Kishtwar, UT.

According to reports, after receiving information about terrorists hiding in Baramulla, an operation was launched in the Chak Tapper Kreeri area on the intervening night of 13-14 September. After this, an encounter started between security forces and terrorists at midnight, which continued throughout the night.

Three terrorists were killed in the joint operation. Information received through intelligence inputs revealed that some terrorists are hiding there, so the operation to kill the terrorists is currently underway.

Earlier, firing took place between the search parties of security forces and hiding terrorists in the Pingnal Dugadda forest area in the upper reaches of Naidgham village in Chhatru police station area of ​​Kishtwar. During this, four army soldiers were injured and two of them, JCO Naib Subedar Vipan Kumar and Sepoy Arvind Singh, died during treatment.
