Security forces kill nine Maoists in encounter on Dantewada-Bijapur border, firing continues

Bijapur. An encounter is going on between security forces and Naxalites on Tuesday in the Dantewada-Bijapur border area in Chhattisgarh. According to the information received, the soldiers have killed nine Naxalites.

A large amount of weapons have also been recovered from the spot along with the bodies of the Maoists.

According to information received from sources, on receiving information about the presence of Maoists in West Bastar Division, a joint police team went on a search operation. On the morning of September 3, during the search, nine Maoists were killed during a shootout between the jawans and the Naxalites.

At present, the firing is going on intermittently, and the jawans are holding the front.
