Kolkata. Former BJP MP Roopa Ganguly in West Bengal has been arrested by Bengal Police. She was protesting in front of Bansdroni Police Station. She protested in front of the police station all night. According to the information, the protest was completely peaceful. Roopa Ganguly sat outside the police station all night. Meanwhile, Bengal Police has taken her into custody. Now the police has arrested her and taken her to Lal Bazar.
Reports are claiming that Roopa Ganguly was protesting at the Bansdroni Police Station since last night. Roopa was arrested on the morning of October 3. According to BJP workers, the police detained Roopa at around 10 am. After this, she was taken to Lal Bazar in a red car.
Meanwhile, political excitement and controversy have started increasing. Roopa Ganguly has alleged that her bag was left in the police station. She was not even allowed to go to the toilet. On Roopa’s arrest, state BJP spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Shamik Bhattacharya said that she was sitting in the police station protesting the Bansdroni incident, but the Trinamool government of the state cannot tolerate criticism.
What is the reason for the strike?
Actually, the BJP leader was angry about the road accident that took place in Bansdroni. She had opened a front against the police’s inaction in the matter. Roopa Ganguly said that until the police do not arrest the accused, she will continue to sit on a dharna in front of the police station. The police also tried hard to convince her, but she was not ready to agree.

Let us tell you that on Wednesday morning, a ninth class student, resident of ward number 113 of Kolkata Municipal Corporation, was going to a coaching center. Road repair work was going on near that center. A JCB crushed the student there. The student was seriously injured. He was taken to the hospital in a bloody state, but he could not be saved.
After this incident, the atmosphere in Bansdroni became tense. Local residents alleged that there was no trace of local counsellor Anita Majumdar after the death of the student. Anger grew over the bad condition of the road. People took to the streets and started protesting. The protest was held by stopping the OC of Patuli police station. Later, Assistant Commissioner of Kolkata Police Pradeep Ghoshal also came to the protest. In the evening, when Kolkata Police DC (South Suburb) Vidisha Kalita Dasgupta reached the spot, the arrests started.
