The bhog to be offered to Lord Krishna on the day of Janmashtami should be prepared with utmost purity. Trilasi leaves must be kept in the bhog. While offering bhog to God, this mantra should also be chanted with devotion. A glass of pure water must be offered along with the bhog.

Patraam pushpam phalan toyam yo me bhaktya prayachhati. That’s why Bhaktyupahritmashnami Prayatatmanah.

In the Shrimadbhagwadgita, Lord Krishna tells Arjuna that whatever a devotee offers to God with love and a pure heart, such as leaves, flowers, fruits, water etc., whatever he can, the Lord gladly accepts (eats) that offering. The meaning of this verse is that no offering is small or big before God – the Lord is hungry only for devotion.

Through this ancient tradition, you can follow the rules of devotion and service from the comfort of your home.
