No Warner in Champions Trophy 2025: George Bailey

David Warner has retired from all three formats of international cricket, but he recently hinted at playing the Champions Trophy 2025. Regarding which Australian team’s chief selector George Bailey has clarified the situation. George Bailey has bluntly said that Warner will not be given a place in the Champions Trophy 2025.

On Warner’s return, George Bailey said, ‘You can never tell when he (David Warner) is joking, but he has definitely tried to shake up the whole process. His career has been great, which is difficult to celebrate.’ He said, ‘I think as time goes by, we will continue to reflect on his (Warner’s) contribution to Australian cricket. He is a great player and his legacy will continue to grow. As far as this team is concerned, some new and emerging players will emerge here. This journey of change in all three formats is going to be exciting.’

Let us tell you that David Warner announced his retirement from T20 International after Australia’s exit from T20 World Cup 2024. Earlier, he had already retired from Test and ODI formats.
