Sultanpur: Mayawati on Monday cornered the BJP government over the recent Mangesh Yadav encounter in Sultanpur district of UP. Earlier too, Mayawati had raised questions on the encounter. After the Mangesh Yadav encounter, the SP had also accused the BJP of carrying out the encounter based on caste. Seeing the allegations and counter-allegations between the BJP and the SP, Mayawati shared a post on Instagram saying that after the Sultanpur encounter, the SP and the BJP are forcefully doing politics in the name of caste. Whereas in this case, these two thieves are like cousins.
In her statement, Mayawati not only targeted BJP but also targeted SP. She said that the law and order situation was many times worse in SP government than in BJP. During their rule, SP goons and mafia used to rob and beat Dalits, other backward classes, poor and traders in broad daylight.
People have not forgotten all this. Mayawati further said that in UP, the real “rule of law by law” was only during BSP rule. Justice was given to people without any discrimination on the basis of caste and religion. There were no fake encounters etc. So be cautious of the drama of law and order of BJP and SP.
