Mamata targets BJP-Left over Kolkata hospital vandalism

Kolkata Hospital Attack: The heat of the Kolkata rape case is increasing instead of subsiding. In this episode, unknown miscreants entered the premises of the government RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata after midnight on Thursday and vandalized some parts of it.

After this, the round of allegations and counter-allegations has started again. BJP has targeted Mamata regarding this, while now Mamata Banerjee has clearly blamed BJP and the Left for this. Mamata alleges that the students are not at fault in this, this is the work of Bam and Ram. 

“There is only one punishment and that is death”

In fact, Mamta Banerjee has said in the case that the person who is suspected is a criminal, there is only one punishment and that is death, so that one can be punished and the rest are scared, the guilty should be punished. She said that we had given time till Sunday, the victim’s parents have been talked to, the court has investigated, handed over the case to the CBI and has also asked the doctors to start work.

‘These are all people from BJP and the Left’

Mamata said that those who created ruckus were not with the student movement, all of them are people from BJP and Left. Mamata said that the police was patient, to maintain peace the police did not hurt anyone, the limits of patience should not be crossed, those who protest should also keep the limits in mind. Mamata said that this matter is not in my hands right now, 2 floors have been broken, very expensive infrastructure has been damaged, the police was attacked.

The vandalism happened at midnight

Let us tell you that this is the same hospital in which the body of a female doctor was found last week. This vandalism took place at midnight amid a protest by women against the incident of rape and then murder of the doctor in the hospital.

According to the police, a group of about 40 people allegedly entered the hospital premises as protesters, damaged property and pelted stones at policemen, after which the policemen had to fire tear gas shells to disperse the crowd.
