Kolkata. A junior female doctor was brutally murdered in Kolkata, West Bengal. The body of the female doctor was found lying half naked in the seminar hall. In this case, the police have detained a person, whose interrogation is going on. At the same time, after this incident, the opposition has started targeting Mamata Banerjee government of West Bengal.
Along with this, questions have also been raised on law and order. On the other hand, leftist student organizations have come out on the streets to protest, while on the other hand, BJP is demanding a CBI inquiry in this case.
Protests
Students have started protesting against the murder of the female doctor. The left wing student organization says that they will block roads across West Bengal on Saturday and Sunday to protest against the murder. Congress workers also joined the student organization’s protest. A Congress worker said, “We want that the committee formed to investigate the case should also have representation of the Congress for a fair investigation.”
Allegation of murder after rape
It is being said that the lady doctor was raped and then murdered. The deceased’s father has also made the same allegation. He also said that now an attempt is being made to hide the truth in this case. However, the police said that the post mortem report has also confirmed rape before the murder.
BJP demands CBI investigation
Shubhendu Adhikari said on Twitter, “The body of a second-year postgraduate student of RG Kar Medical College was found in suspicious condition on the third floor of the emergency building. There were injury marks on her body.” He referred to some reports, which claimed that the victim was strangled and raped. The BJP leader criticized the state government for forming an 11-member committee to investigate the case. In fact, this investigation committee also includes trainees. He has accused the state government of not taking the matter seriously.
