Kolkata Doctor murder case: Accused will be hanged if needed, says CM Mamata

Kolkata. A woman doctor was brutally murdered in Kolkata’s medical college. There is chaos after this sensational incident. Along with this, opposition parties have started cornering the government over this incident. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee met the victim’s family and announced to get the case heard in a fast track court. She also demanded death penalty for the culprit. BJP is demanding a CBI investigation into this case.

Let us tell you that the body of a female trainee doctor was found in Kolkata’s Government RK Kar Medical College. The female doctor was brutally murdered. There is political uproar over this murder. Along with this, protests are being held in many parts of the state including Kolkata.

Now, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has said that the culprit in this case should get the harshest punishment, which should set an example. According to media reports, the Chief Minister said that she wants the hearing of this case to be fast tracked and the culprit should be given the death penalty.

The Chief Minister said that she has spoken to the family of the trainee doctor. She has also assured them that no negligence will be done in the matter. She said that I feel the death of the doctor as my personal loss. The anger of the doctors and their demands will be fulfilled.

Mamata also said that I fully support them. The police have also accepted their demands. The Chief Minister said that I have instructed that the case be taken to the fast track court. If needed, the culprits will be hanged.

BJP demands CBI investigation
The case of murder of the female doctor has now taken a political color. BJP protested over it and demanded a CBI investigation into the incident. Leader of Opposition in West Bengal Assembly and BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari demanded a CBI inquiry into the matter. He also appealed to student organizations to protest against the state government.
