Bihar: The decision to launch the trailer of Pushpa 2 in Bihar’s capital Patna has sparked curiosity and excitement among fans and industry watchers. The choice marks a significant shift from traditional film marketing strategies for a blockbuster film starring South superstar Allu Arjun.
Pushpa became the highest-grossing film post lockdown upon its release in 2021, with expectations sky-high for its sequel, which is scheduled to hit the screens on December 5. The anticipation reached new levels with the announcement that the full trailer would be unveiled on November 17 amid grand preparations in Patna.
This has left many wondering the logic behind choosing Bihar as the launchpad for the film’s trailer. One compelling reason for selecting this strategic location stems from the tremendous reception Pushpa received in the Bihar-Jharkhand region. The Hindi version of the first installment grossed a massive Rs 108 crore.
There was a notable contribution of around five crores from Bihar and Jharkhand. This significant box office earnings highlighted the potential and enthusiasm of the local audience, making it impossible for the filmmakers to ignore Bihar in their promotional plans for Pushpa 2.
