The Theater Association says that this film, which was released on July 12, was streamed on the OTT platform on August 9, whereas it is necessary to wait for eight weeks after release in theaters. If someone does not follow these guidelines, they will not get a chance to release in big national multiplex chains like PVRinox and Cinepolis. The team of ‘Indian 2’ had followed these guidelines and hence they got a chance to release in national chains. According to inside information, ‘Indian 2’ was to be released on OTT on September 6.
Multiplex Association took legal action against the makers
But the makers got it streamed on OTT a month earlier. The Multiplex Association got angry with this decision and they have decided to take legal action against the makers. According to the source, ‘The Multiplex Association got a big shock when it came to know that the Hindi version of ‘Indian 2’ is streaming on Netflix, whereas it was supposed to stream after 8 weeks. ‘Hindustani 2′ should have been streamed on OTT on September 6, but it has been streamed now, which the Multiplex Association did not like’.

The film stars Kamal Haasan, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh and Priya Bhavani Shankar. It has been jointly produced by Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies and its songs have been composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The budget of the film is said to be around Rs 150 crore. However, it did not get much response at the box office. The director is talking about bringing the third part of this franchise.
