Kajari Teej 2024: On the day of Kajari Teej, Goddess Parvati and Teej Mata are worshiped along with Lord Shiva. It is believed that fasting on Kajari Teej prolongs the life of the husband and marital life is also happy. Kajari Teej is celebrated on the Tritiya Tithi of every Bhadrapada Krishna Paksha. Unmarried girls can fast on Kajari Teej to get the desired groom. On the occasion of Kajari Teej, games are organized in villages and localities. According to tradition, people give gifts to each other on this day. Dishes are made in homes. This Kajari Teej is also called Kajali Teej, Budhi Teej, Satudi Teej.

According to mythological beliefs, the first Kajari Teej fast was observed by Goddess Parvati. By observing this fast, married women get love and a happy married life. On this day, the moon is worshipped at night and wheat is held in the hand and arghya is offered to the moon.

Deepak, ghee, oil, camphor, incense sticks, yellow clothes, turmeric, sandalwood, coconut, cow milk, Gangajal, curd, sugar candy, honey, panchamrit, raw cotton thread, new clothes, banana leaves, belpatra, shami leaves, janeu, jaata coconut, betel nut, urn, bhang, dhatura, durva grass etc. Suhaag items like green colored sari, dupatta, bindi, bangles, kumkum, comb, toe ring, sindoor and mehndi etc. for Mata Parvati.
