Ishan Kishan: ‘I am not in the mood to play..’ Ishan Kishan’s sharp attack on BCCI

Ishan Kishan, the player for whom the last 6 months proved to be full of ups and downs. Double centurion Ishan has not returned to Team India for the last 7 months. BCCI also distanced itself from the young batsman for not following orders. Ishan Kishan proved to be a big issue when he was left out of the central contract. Shreyas Iyer’s name was also in this list. Ishan has once again given air to this issue. He has broken the silence on this matter that why did he not play domestic cricket on the orders of BCCI?

Ishaan said in an interview with Indian Express, ‘It was disappointing, today I don’t want to say that everything was fine. It was not easy for me at all. You endure a lot. All this kept going on in my mind that what happened, why did it happen, why did it happen to me? All this happened when I was performing well.’

On the question of taking a break, Ishan Kishan said, ‘I was scoring runs and then I found myself on the bench. These things happen in team sports. But I experienced travel fatigue. It meant that something was wrong, I was not feeling well and so I decided to take a break. However, sadly no one understood it except my family and some close people.’

Why did Ishan Kishan not follow the orders of BCCI? This question was in everyone’s mind. But now he has explained it in detail. The young batsman said, ‘I took a break and I think it was normal. There is a rule that if you want to make a comeback, you have to perform well in domestic cricket. It is as simple as that. Playing domestic cricket was very different for me because it did not make any sense. I was not in the mood to play and that is why I took a break from international cricket. It does not make sense that you take a break from international cricket and then play domestic matches. Then you would have played international matches only.’
