If Britain does not grant asylum, will this be Sheikh Hasina’s new address!

Bangladesh Protest: With the resignation of Sheikh Hasina, her party Awami League has also been wiped out in Bangladesh. People are so angry that they are attacking and setting fire to the houses of Awami League leaders. Most Awami League leaders have gone underground. The whole story of Awami League and Sheikh Hasina currently rests on their reaching a safe place. Sheikh Hasina will be free to speak about her and the party’s political future only after reaching a safe country. But given the current situation, it is not so easy for Sheikh Hasina to find a safe place for herself.

International affairs expert Ravinder Sachdev described this time as difficult for Sheikh Hasina. India itself can avoid the possibility of her taking refuge in India. There is talk of her going to Britain. Two or three factors work in this. It is not known which visa the British government will give her. The US and UK governments were angry with Sheikh Hasina for a long time because she was suppressing democracy in her country. Her sister Sheikh Rehana is a British citizen. One of her daughters is a Labour Party MP. Therefore, she can get a UK visa. Now it remains to be seen what the final decision is on this.

Sheikh Hasina has another problem in London. A large number of people of Bangladeshi origin live in London. A large number of these people are against Sheikh Hasina. Bangladeshi leaders have a lot of property in Dubai and London. Therefore, it is also being said that Sheikh Hasina can consider the option of going to Dubai where the law and order is strict and good.

US expressed deep concern
Meanwhile, the US has expressed deep concern over all forms of violence in Bangladesh, including ongoing attacks on members of religious and political groups. A State Department spokesperson said, “We are deeply concerned about the continued reports of violence in Bangladesh, including attacks targeting members of religious and political groups. We are equally concerned about reports of violence against police and law enforcement agencies.”
White House Press Secretary Karin Jean-Pierre told reporters in her daily press briefing, “We are monitoring the situation in Bangladesh very closely. We have long been calling for respecting the democratic rights of the people in Bangladesh. We urge the formation of an interim government in a democratic and inclusive manner in the country.”
Jean-Pierre said, “We appreciate the restraint shown by the Bangladeshi army. We call on all parties to refrain from violence and restore peace as soon as possible.” He said, “It will be very important for the new government to conduct a careful and credible investigation of all attacks and to ensure justice and accountability for the victims.”

Mohammad Yunus appointed head of interim government
It is noteworthy that Bangladesh President Mohammad Shahabuddin has appointed Nobel Prize winner Mohammad Yunus as the head of the interim government of Bangladesh. Press Secretary Mohammad Zainul Abedin said that this decision was taken in a meeting between President Shahabuddin and a 13-member delegation of the ‘Anti-Discrimination Student Movement’. The chiefs of the three armed forces were also present in this meeting.
After the four-hour meeting, the press secretary said, “The President appointed Dr. Yunus as the chief advisor of the interim government.” He said that the names of other members of the interim government will be decided after consultations with various political parties. According to the state news agency ‘BSS’, the President is in favor of including at least one fighter of the 1971 Liberation War as an advisor to the cabinet.
