Government announces prize money for medal winners of Paris Paralympics; Know who will get how much money

Paralympic Medalist Money Prize : India’s para-athletes have performed brilliantly in the Paris Paralympics 2024 and won 29 medals including a record 7 gold. In view of this performance of the athletes, the central government has announced the prize money. Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya gave this information during a program organized to honor the medal winners on Tuesday.

Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said, “The government has given a reward of Rs 75 lakh to the players who won gold medals, Rs 50 lakh to the silver medal winners and Rs 30 lakh to the bronze medal winners to encourage them. Our success in the Paralympics shows that India is moving forward in the field of sports. Those who excel in mixed team events like archer Sheetal Devi will get Rs 22.5 lakh.”

Let us tell you that in the Paris Paralympics, India won 29 medals, breaking the record of 19 medals of Tokyo Games. Which included 7 gold, 9 silver and 13 bronze medals.
