New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Atishi met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday. Let us tell you that this is Atishi’s first meeting with PM Modi after becoming the CM. Atishi gave this information on X Post. She said, today I met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I hope for full cooperation between the Center and Delhi Government for the welfare and progress of the capital Delhi.
Earlier, Atishi had met Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. Atishi became the new CM of Delhi after Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation last month. She took oath as the Chief Minister on 21 September. Atishi has become the youngest and ninth Chief Minister of Delhi. Atishi is also the third woman Chief Minister of Delhi. Before this, Sheila Dixit and Sushma Swaraj have been the CM of Delhi.
Before becoming the CM, Atishi was a minister in the Kejriwal government. She had the responsibility of 12-13 departments. After Manish Sisodia’s resignation, Atishi was also given the responsibility of Sisodia’s department.
After Kejriwal’s resignation, Atishi got the CM’s chair
Atishi got the CM’s chair after Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation. Kejriwal resigned from the post of Delhi’s Chief Minister on 17 September. He had announced this two days before this. Two days before resigning, Kejriwal had said that he will resign from the CM’s post after two days. I will not sit on the CM’s chair until the people of Delhi re-elect me and give me a certificate of honesty.
