BSNL to bring Universal SIM, know the specialty

BSNL seems to be making a strong comeback. There was a time when BSNL was the star. But private telecom companies went ahead. As soon as Jio, Airtel and Vodafone Idea made plans expensive, people are again turning towards BSNL.

BSNL has also started preparing to install 4G service all over India as soon as possible. Now users have got great news. BSNL will introduce ‘Over-the-Air’ (OTA) and Universal SIM (USIM) platforms working on 4G and 5G.

You can change the SIM

This will allow customers to choose their mobile number as well as change SIM without geographical restrictions. OTA is a method of connecting the device to the test device. BSNL said that this platform, developed in collaboration with Pyro Holdings, was inaugurated in Chandigarh.

What did the company say

This also includes a disaster ‘recovery site’ in Trichy. BSNL said on Friday, “The new 4G and 5G compatible platform is designed to provide better connectivity and service quality to all BSNL customers across the country.” The company is gradually rolling out 4G network across the country.

The statement said, “BSNL is improving the network for 4G and 5G. In such a situation, the launch of this platform is apt for this step… This is an important step in BSNL’s efforts to bridge the digital divide and empower citizens in rural and remote areas and ensure equal access to state-of-the-art telecom services.

The Over-the-Air (OTA) and Universal SIM (USIM) platform offers BSNL mobile customers the convenience of choosing a mobile number instantly and enables SIM switching without any geographical restrictions, the statement said.
