BookMyShow is going to be out of business! Zomato will soon launch District App

Popular food delivery platform Zomato is now preparing to give a direct competition to BookMyShow. For which Zomato is going to launch the ‘District’ app soon. Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal shared information about the new app on social media platform X.

According to Deepinder Goyal, Zomato will enter the lifestyle segment through this ‘District’ app. In this app, users will be able to avail services like shopping as well as staycation. He said in a letter to shareholders that services like dining out, sports ticketing, live performance, shopping, staycation will be integrated on a single platform.

The CEO of the company has further stated that after the launch of the District app, the dining service will be shifted from Zomato to the District app. However, Zomato has not given any official information regarding the roll-out of the District app.

Let us tell you that many users use BookMyShow app for movie tickets, flight booking, event booking or staycation. District app will also provide similar service. It is believed that after launch, District app will compete directly with BookMyShow.
