Bomb Threat: After Air India, Akasa Air gets bomb threat

An Akasa Air flight bound for Bengaluru returned to the national capital on Wednesday afternoon after receiving a bomb threat, sources said. Sources familiar with the matter said more than 180 people were on board the flight QP1335.

The plane returned to the national capital on Wednesday afternoon after receiving the bomb threat and landed safely at the Delhi airport.

He said an emergency was declared at the airport for the plane after a bomb threat was received.

The civil aviation minister is expected to hold a high-level meeting on October 16 with officials from the Bureau of Civil Aviation and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) to address the situation.
