Sharing the pictures on Instagram, Jai Shah wrote, “Very happy to announce that BCCI’s new National Cricket Academy (NCA) is almost complete and will open soon in Bengaluru. The new NCA will have three world class sports grounds, 45 practice pitches, indoor cricket pitch, Olympic size swimming pool and state-of-the-art training, recovery and sports science facilities. This initiative will help our country’s current and future cricketers develop their potential in the best possible environment.
What will be special in the academy?
Indoor pitch: The most special thing about this academy is that players will be able to practice here even in storms and rain. For this, an indoor pitch has been built in the academy.
World class facilities: The academy will have three world class playing fields, 45 pitches, an Olympic size swimming pool, recovery center and sports science facilities.
Focus on fitness: Special attention will be given to the fitness of the players. The academy will also have a modern training center.
Special arrangements to deal with injuries: If a player gets injured, then there will be special arrangements for him here.
Laxman is the head of the National Cricket Academy
This initiative of BCCI is a great achievement for Indian cricket. Its head is currently VVS Laxman, one of the greatest batsmen of India. Indian players come here for their fitness and other sports related problems. Team India’s veteran fast bowler Mohammed Shami is also currently training at the National Cricket Academy.
