Arcane Season 2 Trailer Release: Vigilant Vi’s sister-turned-rival Jinx leads a revolution in the fictional city of Zaun in the latest trailer for Netflix and Riot Games’ Arcane Season 2, the final installment of the animated series based on the League of Legends video game. Arcane explores the origin stories of two champion sisters Jinx (Ella Purnell) and Vee (Hailee Steinfeld).
While Jinx lives in the technologically advanced Piltover, Vee hails from the crime-ridden city of Zaun. The sisters find themselves on opposing sides of a war. Dropped by the streamer on Thursday, the two-minute 20-second long trailer shows the story following Jinx’s attack on the Piltover council at the end of the first season.
It shows V preparing to defeat Jinx alongside a squad of enforcers led by Caitlin Kiraman, a noblewoman from Piltover. After scenes of V’s emotional breakdown, the video shows the Noxian warlord Ambessa Medarda instituting martial law.
Meanwhile, after Vee completely destroys the Piltover Council, Jinx has emerged as a symbol of hope and rebellion in Zaun. The trailer ends with high-octane action scenes, in which Jinx challenges Vee and Caitlin to stop her. The final season of Arcane is set to arrive on Netflix in November. “Arcane is just the beginning of our bigger storytelling journey and partnership with an amazing animation studio like Fortich,” Arcane co-creator Christian Linke said in a statement.
