Apple has released the fourth public beta version of iOS 18. It includes many new features as well as some bug fixes and updates to further improve the system. iOS 18 Public Beta brings many new features along with some bug fixes and improvements in system stability. These include bringing Bluetooth control in Control Center, bringing splash screen in apps like Home, Photos, Notes.
Let’s know what the new features are
Separate Bluetooth control in Control Center – Now you can turn Bluetooth on/off directly in Control Center.
Splash screen in apps – When you open apps like Home, Photos, Notes, a small screen will appear which will tell what is new in this update.
Changing the color of app icons – Now you can change the color of the app icon to match your wallpaper and lockscreen. App icons will now look correct in notifications even in dark mode.
How to download the public beta version of iOS 18?
To download the open test of iOS 18, you have to register in Apple’s beta program. To register, go to https://beta.apple.com/ . Press the Sign Up button there and enter your Apple ID and password.
Once you register
1. Open your phone’s Settings.
2. Then tap on General.
3. Tap on Software Update.
4. Now select iOS 18 public beta from the list that appears.
5. Tap on Update Now to install the update.
When will the final version of iOS 18 come?
Apple announced iOS 18 in June. So far it is in developer and public beta versions. It is expected that its final version will come for everyone with the launch of the iPhone 16 series in September.
