Amidst the rush for seats, Railways changes ticket booking rules!

New Delhi: Ticket Booking Rules: Amid the rush for train tickets during the festive season, the railways have changed the ticket booking rules. According to information received from sources, now passengers will be able to book tickets from IRCTC only 60 days before the departure date of the train.

At present, the period of advance ticket booking is 120 days. Under the new rules, it has been changed to 60 days, i.e. half of the previous one. There was a long-standing demand from passengers to change the rules of advance ticket booking. On which a decision has now been taken by the railways.

Sources claim that the new rule related to ticket booking will be implemented from November 1, 2024. There will be no effect on the tickets already booked.

Let us tell you that due to Diwali on November 1 and Chhath Puja on November 6, there is a rush for ticket booking on all railway routes.
