Abhishek Sharma creates history by scoring a century in the second innings of his T20I career

India has avenged its defeat in the first match by winning the second T20I match against Zimbabwe by 100 runs. In this match played in Harare on Sunday, India batted first and scored 234 runs at the loss of two wickets. In reply, Zimbabwe’s team was all out for 134 runs in 18.4 overs. At the same time, Abhishek Sharma, who was the hero of India’s victory in the second match, has also made many records in his name.

Abhishek Sharma, who was out for zero in the first match of the T20 series against Zimbabwe, gave a befitting reply to the criticism in the second T20 match. Abhishek opened his account with a six in this match and scored 100 runs in 47 balls in his second match itself. His explosive innings included 7 fours and 8 sixes. The young left-handed batsman has made many records in his name with his first international century.

1- Abhishek Sharma is the third player to score a T20 century on Zimbabwean soil. Before him, Australia’s Aaron Finch and USA’s Steven Taylor have achieved this feat.

2- Abhishek Sharma has become the player to score the first T20 century in the least number of innings for India. Earlier, Deepak Hooda had achieved this feat in the third innings and KL Rahul in the fourth innings.

3- He is the fourth youngest player to score a T20 century for India. He achieved this against Zimbabwe at the age of 23 years 307 days. Yashasvi Jaiswal is the youngest player to score a century so far (21 years 279 days).

4- Abhishek Sharma has reached the fourth position in the list of players who have scored a T20 century in the least number of balls for India. Captain Rohit Sharma is at the top in this case, who scored a century in 35 balls against Sri Lanka in 2017.
