In a way, he is the undisputed leader of Hamas in Gaza. In comparison, Haniya was considered the liberal face of Hamas and was the international face of the entire Hamas. It is being said that after Haniya’s death, he will now be the biggest leader of Hamas.
Saleh Al Arouri: He was the deputy chief of Hamas’ political bureau. He was killed in an Israeli airstrike in January this year in the Lebanese city of Beirut. He was a founding member of Hamas’ military wing, the Al-Qassim Brigade.
Mohammad Deif: He is the head of Hamas’ military wing. He is so mysterious that no one has seen his face in public for decades. Israel carried out an airstrike in Gaza this month to kill him. 90 people were killed in that but nothing could be known about him. Israel says that he was probably killed but it could not be officially confirmed. Hamas has also not said anything about him yet. There have been many deadly attacks on him before but he has escaped every time. Some say that he has been crippled in these attacks but in reality no one knows anything about his location and situation.
