Paris Olympic 2024: PV Sindhu-Lakshya Sen’s explosive win

Paris Olympic 2024 Update:  On the fifth day of the Paris Olympics, PV Sindhu defeated Estonia’s Kristina Kuba to make it to the round of 16 of badminton women’s singles. India’s Swapnil Kusale has qualified for the final in the 50m rifle three position event. Now the country has hopes of a medal from him in the final.

India’s star shuttler PV Sindhu defeated Estonia’s Kristina Kuba 21-5, 21-10 in the women’s singles group play stage and secured a place in the round of 16. With this, Sindhu has made it to the round of 16 of badminton women’s singles.

While in the men’s singles event of badminton, Lakshya Sen defeated Indonesia’s Jonathan Christie 21-18. Now if Lakshya Sen wins the next match, he will enter the knockout.

In the 50m rifle 3 positions event, India’s Swapnil Kusale qualified for the finals by finishing seventh with a score of 590, while Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar missed out on a place in the same event by finishing 11th.
