The country’s private telecom companies like Reliance Jio, Airtel and Vodafone-Idea had increased their tariffs by 11-25 percent earlier this month. After which people’s anger was openly seen on social media, even hashtags like “BSNL Ki Ghar Wapsi” and “Boycott Jio” were trending on Twitter. At the same time, now BSNL seems to be getting the benefit of this.
After the tariffs of private telecom companies became expensive, users are looking for new options. Meanwhile, lakhs of new users of BSNL are being added every day. According to a report, BSNL had increased by 15 thousand users in May 2024, while 58 thousand users decreased in June.
However, after the tariffs of private telecom companies became expensive, users have turned towards BSNL. In the first 15 days of July itself, the company has got about 15 lakh new users. Most of these users have left Jio and Airtel and turned to BSNL. In such a situation, now the situation of BSNL seems to be improving.
