From HDFC Bank to Google Maps, these rules will change from August 1

Some of the changes that are going to be implemented from the month of August include changes in the rules of credit cards by the country’s largest private bank HDFC Bank. Apart from this, Google is changing its charges for Google Maps in India. Let’s know how these changes can affect you-

There are major changes in the price of LPG gas cylinders at the beginning of every month. Last month, the central government reduced the price of 19 kg commercial cylinders. Now it is being speculated that this time too the government may reduce the prices.

There are going to be major changes in the rules of Google Maps in the country from August 1, 2024. The company has announced that it has reduced the service charge in India by 70 percent and will now bill in Indian rupees instead of dollars. It is worth noting that these changes will not affect the common users as no additional charge will be taken from them.

From August 1, HDFC Bank is also changing the rules related to credit cards. Now, 1% of the transaction amount will be charged for paying rent through apps like CRED, Cheq, MobiKwik and Freecharge. But this will be up to a maximum of Rs 3000 only. Apart from this, no extra charge will be levied on payment of petrol and diesel less than Rs 15000. But 1% charge will be levied on payment of more than Rs 15000, which will be up to a maximum of Rs 3000 only.

Apart from this, there are holidays of Rakshabandhan, 15th August and Janmashtami in the month of August. Banks will remain closed for a total of 13 days in this month. You can plan in advance to avoid any trouble.
