World’s first CNG bike launched in India; check mileage, price and other details

Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari was also present at the launch of the first CNG bike. Gadkari has described Bajaj’s new bike as a game changer. Bajaj Auto has launched its new CNG bike Bajaj Freedom in the commuter segment, but the team has done a great job on its look and design. Looking at this bike equipped with attractive looks and sporty design, you may not even be able to guess where the company has placed the CNG cylinder in this bike. It has fully LED headlight and taillight as well as halogen indicators. The bike has an instrument cluster with a monochrome LCD display, which also supports Bluetooth connectivity. The company has provided a common flap on the fuel tank of the bike, which can be opened to refill both petrol and CNG.

The company claims that Bajaj Freedom has the longest seat in the segment (785MM) which covers the fuel tank to a large extent in the front, while the CNG tank is placed under the seat. The green color in the bike represents CNG and the orange color represents petrol. To make the bike light and strong, it has been given a robust trellis frame. According to Bajaj Auto, the new bike has passed 11 different tests of the industry which make it completely safe.
