Women’s Asia Cup 2024: Team India reached the final

The Indian team has lived up to expectations in the Women’s Asia Cup 2023. The Blue Army, which remained undefeated in the tournament, has booked a ticket to the final by defeating Bangladesh in the semi-finals.

Bangladesh was reduced to a score of just 80 runs against India. In response, the Indian team easily won the match by 10 wickets. Now everyone is waiting for Pakistan, whose semi-final match will be held with Sri Lanka shortly.

In the semi-final, Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat first. After which the Indian bowlers tightened the noose around Bangladesh as soon as they came. As a result, the entire opposing team seemed to be falling apart like a pack of cards. The highest score from Bangladesh was 32 runs which was made by captain Negar Sultana.

From Team India, Radha Yadav and Renuka Singh broke the back of Bangladesh by taking wickets in bunches. Both took 3-3 wickets. Apart from this, 1-1 wickets came to the account of Pooja and Deepti.

Could not find a solution for Shefali-Smriti

Dangerous bowling was seen from India, but Bangladesh could not find a solution to Shefali Verma and Smriti Mandhana who were in excellent form. Both of them took no time to make the match one-sided. Shefali played an unbeaten innings of 26 runs while Smriti scored an unbeaten 55 runs. Mandhana hit 9 fours and a six in her innings. Due to these innings, India won the match by 10 wickets and made a strong entry into the final.

Waiting for Pakistan

In the group stage, Pakistan team lost to India in the very first match. Due to which Pakistan team had to take help from India to qualify. Team India won the last match in the group stage and qualified Pakistan for the semi-finals along with itself. Now in a short while, the match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will start. If Pakistan team manages to defeat Sri Lanka, then fans will be ready to see a double dose of excitement in the final. At the same time, Team India will also want to give another blow to its arch rival. The final match will be held on July 30.
