Israel and Hamas have come to an agreement thanks to the mediation efforts of Qatar, Egypt and the United States, and this agreement involves hostages in the conflict in Gaza. Based on the media claims, this declaration was made on Wednesday by the Prime Minister of Qatar. As stated by Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani at a press meeting held recently, the two belligerents in Gaza have agreed on the linkage of the hostages’ exchanges and prisoners’ return to permanent peace which entails an enduring ceasefire. The deal has an active fighting period cut of 15 months and has an initial active part of 42 days on a cutoff deal.
As per the plan, January 19 will see the beginning of the execution of the agreement. The siege will free around 33 abductees but this is only possible if the Palestinian regime gets freed first within a period of six weeks. As for the second and third phase of the conflict, their activities will only be made public once the first phase is completed.
As it has been stated, the Israeli army will retreat from urban sites to the borders of Gaza and this will permit the homeless Palestinians to go back to their homes within the Gaza Strip. It is said that there is going to be a major influx of humanitarian assistance, with 600 aid vehicles crossing into Gaza every day and 50 of them bringing the long awaited fuel necessary to restore the electricity in the area.
The Foreign Minister and Prime Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, has expressed in a press conference that Israel and Hamas have reached such an agreement where hostages and prisoners will be exchanged and peace made over with the objective of ensuring a truce for good.
