Hardik-Natasha Divorce: Hardik Pandya broke silence on Instagram

Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya and Natasha Stankovic have confirmed their separation, and have ended their four-year-old marriage “in the best interest of both of us”. The couple released a joint statement on Instagram on Thursday, saying they have decided to separate by mutual consent. The two said they will continue to co-parent their three-year-old son Agastya.

“After four years together, Natasa and I have mutually decided to separate,” the cricketer wrote in an Instagram post on Thursday. “We have tried our best and given our best together, and we believe this is in the best interest of both of us. “This was a difficult decision for us to make as we have enjoyed our time together, mutual respect and companionship as we have grown our family,” the statement said.

We are blessed with Agastya, who will continue to be the centre of both of our lives and we will be co-parenting to ensure we do everything we can for his happiness. We sincerely request your support and understanding to grant us privacy during this difficult and sensitive time,” the post released jointly by them on Instagram said.

Hardik married Mumbai-based Serbian dancer, model and Bollywood actress Natasa on May 31, 2020, in which they took vows twice – once through Hindu rituals and the second time in a Christian ceremony. Though the announcement came on Thursday, their strained relationship had been a topic of discussion in the media for the past few months.

The writing on the wall became evident when Natasa removed Hardik’s pictures from her Instagram wall and did not even congratulate him for his good performance during the recent ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. The divorce brings the file full circle in a way for the India all-rounder, who has been going through a tough time since suffering a serious injury during the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup match against Bangladesh in Pune.
