New Delhi. German sexual health brand Billy Boy has launched a unique app. Its name is ‘Digital Condom’. It is also known as Camdom. The company has brought it with the aim of preventing video-audio recording during intimate moments without permission. This innovative app turns off the phone’s camera and microphone using Bluetooth technology.
Due to which your private moments remain more safe. There is a lot of discussion on the internet about this app. Some people find this innovation right while some have called it nonsense.
Very easy to use
To ensure privacy and security, the Camdom app is easy to use. For this, you just have to open the app in the phone and swipe the virtual button. This blocks the phone’s microphone and camera. You can do the same in another person’s phone as well.
Once the virtual button is swiped, if one of the partners turns on the camera or microphone, an alert is received through an alarm. Through this app, the camera and microphone can be blocked in multiple devices simultaneously.
Private moments will be secure
The company says that it is a big challenge to protect private moments from audio-video recording. In this situation, this app comes in handy and provides safety to a great extent. The Camdom app also gives alerts in case of any wrong activity. It immediately starts ringing the alarm.
It is available to Android smartphone users in more than 30 countries.
The company is going to bring it for iOS users also in the coming days.
The developer of the app, Felipe Almeida, says that phones have become an important part of our lives nowadays. Most of our private data is stored on our phones. Therefore, to protect you from recording your private moments without permission, we have created the first app that can block the phone’s camera and mic using Bluetooth.
How is ‘Digital Condom’ different?
The app has been developed in partnership with Innocion Berlin. Gabriel, CCO of Innocion Berlin, said that at Innocion Berlin, we think about solving the problems not only for our customers but also for society at large. Therefore, it was important for us to develop this app in collaboration with Billy Boy so that users can be protected from non-consensual content leaking. It has been created in a different way, which has never happened before.
