Terrorists killed seven people in Ganderbal, J&K; TRF takes responsibility

Ganderbal Terrorist Attack:  A major terrorist attack took place in Ganderbal, Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday night. Terrorists killed 7 people including a doctor near the campsite of the Z-mode tunnel in Gund area of ​​Sonamarg area, while five people were injured in the firing. The Resistance Force (TRF), an organization of Lashkar-e-Taiba, took responsibility for this attack on Monday.

The Resistance Force (TRF) used to target Kashmiri Pandits earlier, but in the last one and a half years, the organization has changed its strategy. Apart from Kashmiri Pandits, the terrorist organization is now targeting Sikhs and non-local people as well. According to reports, the terrorists of this organization were doing recce of the tunnel construction site of Srinagar-Leh National Highway for a month. The attack was carried out by 2 to 3 terrorists.

Officials said that the terrorists opened fire on the labourers living in the camp of a private company engaged in tunnel construction work in Gund area of ​​the district. As soon as the information about the attack was received, the police and army reached the spot and the area was cordoned off. Jammu and Kashmir Police said that the doctor has been identified as Shahnawaz Ahmed of Budgam.

The other six people killed in the attack have been identified as Gurmeet Singh from Gurdaspur in Punjab, Anil Kumar Shukla and Faheem Nazir from Bihar, Shashi Abrol from Kathua, Mohammad Hanif and Kaleem from Bihar. All of them were working on the tunnel project being run by the central government.

The five injured were identified as Gurmeet Singh (30) from Punjab, Inder Yadav son of (35) from Bihar, Jagtar Singh (30) and Mohan Lal (30) both from Kathua and Fayaz Ahmad Lone (26) from Preng Kangan.
