Country on right track to achieve the goal of ‘Developed India 2047’: Nirmala Sitharaman

New Delhi: Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said here on Sunday that the country is on the right track to achieve the goal of developed India by 2047 and institutional capacity building will play an important role in this.

‘Developed India 2047’ is the roadmap of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government, which aims to make the country a developed nation by 2047. India will complete 100 years of independence in 2047.

The Finance Minister said that the Centre has left no stone unturned to increase self-reliance in defence capabilities. He said, “We also have to focus on our banks, overall infrastructure, position of companies in the market and give priority to digitalisation of the Indian economy.”

He said, “If you are looking at what is the future of India and how we will reach the goal of developed India 2047 then we are on the right track. We have given priority to our national security.”
