Google brings powerful AI feature, you will be able to convert your notes into podcasts

Google has added a new feature to its NotebookLM that allows you to turn your research into an AI-generated podcast. The name of this new feature is Audio Overview. This feature consists of two AI hosts who review and discuss the material you provide. They summarize the information, establish connections between topics, and talk about the research.

Turning research into audio discussions
NotebookLM already uses Google’s Gemini AI model to summarize research, and this podcast feature expands that functionality to an audio format. Users can test the new feature by opening a notebook in NotebookLM and selecting the “Audio Overview” option.

Limitations of use
Podcasts make research more engaging, but they may not be suitable for all topics. For example, discussing sensitive issues such as cancer or war can be challenging. Additionally, the feature includes some filler content, which may not always provide information in a concise manner.

Google acknowledges that the audio overview is not intended to provide an objective view, but rather a reflection of your notes. Users should also be aware of some limitations. It can take several minutes to generate a podcast and the feature is only available in English. Also, like many AI tools, its accuracy may vary.

How to try the new feature
To use the new feature, open a notebook in NotebookLM. Then select the notebook guide in the lower-right corner of the screen and click the “Load” option under “Audio overview”. Using this tool can be an interesting way to learn how AI understands your research.
