Things related to physical relations are often seen as a taboo, but recently a new report has openly discussed this topic. This report has revealed the sex life of thousands of people around the world. The report has been prepared by researchers at the Kinsey Institute of Indiana University, which gives information about the average number of times people of different generations have sex in a month. The figures of this report are shocking and show that the sex life of Generation Z (Gen Z) is much less active than previous generations.
The report is titled ‘The State of Dating: How Gen Z is Redefining Sexuality and Relationships’. This report is based on data from more than 3,310 people on a dating app called Feeld. The age of these participants was between 18 and 75 years and they were from 71 different countries. They were included in the survey to answer questions related to their sex life.
According to the data in the report, on average, Gen Z participants reported that they had sex only three times in the last month. On the other hand, Millennials and Generation X had slightly more sex, both of these generations had sex five times in the last month. Boomers also had sex only three times in the last month on average. This data shows that the sex life of Gen Z and Boomers is almost equally less active.
What is the reason behind Gen Z’s less physical relationships?
Researchers say that people of the Gen Z generation have less time to have physical relationships because they pay more attention to their career and other things. According to the report, “The sexual frequency of both Gen Z and Boomers is almost the same, indicating that the youngest and oldest adults have the least active sex life.” Apart from this, the report also found that almost half of the Gen Z participants were single, while only one-fifth (20%) of millennials, generation X and boomers were single.
Sexual experiences of Gen Z
Although Gen Z has a less active sex life, this generation is also the most adventurous in the bedroom. The report found that 55% of Gen Z participants discovered a new kink after joining a field app. This compared to 49% of millennials, 39% of Generation X, and 33% of boomers.
