Rahul Dravid to serve this IPL team as head coach

Rahul Dravid New Head Coach Of Rajasthan Royals: Rahul Dravid’s tenure as India’s head coach ended after winning the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 title. After which the former Indian legend is ready for a new beginning. Dravid is going to return to Rajasthan Royals (RR) as head coach.

According to ESPNcricinfo report, Rahul Dravid has recently signed a deal with the Rajasthan Royals franchise and has held initial talks on retaining players ahead of the upcoming mega auction. He has a long working relationship with RR captain Sanju Samson, who came up in the Under-19 ranks under Dravid’s tutelage.

The report also states that former Indian team batting coach Vikram Rathod is also likely to be signed as one of Dravid’s assistant coaches at Rajasthan Royals. At the same time, Kumar Sangakkara will remain with the franchise as the Director of Cricket after Dravid takes over the reins of Rajasthan Royals.

Let us tell you that as captain, Rahul Dravid led Rajasthan Royals to the 2013 Champions League T20 final. Rajasthan’s team also played the playoffs under his captaincy. He has worked as a mentor with Rajasthan in the years 2014 and 2015.
