Elon Musk announced X TV, it will eliminate the need for set top box

Elon Musk recently announced a new streaming service on his social media platform X, called X TV. As the name suggests, this new app will allow you to watch movies and shows from different sources. In a post on X, SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that the app is now live in beta on Android TV as well as LG, Amazon Fire TV and Google TV. He also said that the company plans to bring the app to more devices in the future.

When will X TV be available?
Elon Musk has not revealed when the app will be available to everyone. Reports suggest that X TV was available to Amazon Fire TV users in July, but LG TVs got it on August 29. According to the app’s Google Play Store listing,

X TV, also known as X-Stream Service TV, eliminates the need for a set-top box by providing access to a variety of live channels including movies, music, news, sports and weather.

Features of X TV
Some of the key features that are rumoured to be offered by the app include Replay TV, which lets you replay shows for up to 72 hours, StartOver TV which enables viewers to watch the beginning of a live show in case they tune in late, and Free Cloud DVR, which, as the name suggests, allows users to record up to 100 hours of content without any additional charges.
