According to the Vedic calendar, the Amavasya date of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada month will start on September 2 at 05:21 am and will end on September 03 at 07:24 am. In such a situation, Somvati Amavasya Vrat will be observed on 02 October 2024, Wednesday. Shubh Shiva Yoga is being formed on this day which will last till 06:20 pm.
On the Friday before Bhadon Amavasya, make a heap of 100 grams of rice and place Lakshmi Ji on it. Offer one grain of rice separately to Goddess Lakshmi every day. Worship her.
On the day of Somvati Amavasya, married women are blessed with good fortune. On this day, people observe fast and worship Goddess Parvati along with Lord Shiva. Then they worship and circumambulate the Peepal tree.
