Google subsidiary YouTube has announced new artificial intelligence (AI) tools to help its users recover their hacked accounts. The company has added a new AI chatbot that will help affected users re-secure their logins and recover their accounts.
On the Google Support page, the company said, “We are happy to announce that YouTube is launching a new troubleshooting tool that will support users who believe their account has been hacked.”
YouTube’s new AI tool
This AI chatbot can be accessed through the YouTube Health Center. Currently, the chatbot assistant is only available in English and some troubleshooting features inside the tools are only available to some creators.
Google is working to make this feature available to all users. The Google support page also mentions that if the tool does not work for them, they can reach out to @TeamYouTube on X and get help.
Google made the process easier
Previously, recovering a hacked YouTube channel required first recovering the hacked Google account associated with the YouTube channel. With this new AI tool, Google has made this process easier. Google says that Google accounts can be hacked, hijacked or compromised for various reasons. These can include dangerous malware and phishing emails.
To keep their accounts safe, users are advised not to share their email address and password with others. Never download files or software from a source you do not trust.
