Ganesh Chaturthi 2024: In Sanatan Dharma Puja rituals, the first revered deity Lord Ganesha is worshipped with rituals. Ganesh Utsav is celebrated once a year. Lord Ganesha, who is considered to be the remover of obstacles, is also known by various names such as Gajanan, Dhumraketu, Ekadanta, Vakratunda and Siddhi Vinayak, he is worshipped as the god of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune. This 10-day festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion by Hindus around the world, especially in India.

The festival of Ganesh Utsav begins on the fourth day (Chaturthi) of the Hindu month of Bhadrapada, which usually falls between August and September. During this time, clay idols of Lord Ganesha are installed in homes, temples and temporary public platforms called pandals and then worshipped through various rituals and ceremonies.

According to the Vedic calendar, this year the Chaturthi Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month will start on September 6 at 3.01 pm and will end on the next day i.e. September 7 at 5.37 pm. According to the Udaya Tithi, Ganesh Utsav will start from September 7, Saturday.

Ganesh Utsav 2024 will begin on Friday, September 6 at 03:01 PM and end on Tuesday, September 17 at 05:37 PM. Ganesh Visarjan is scheduled for Tuesday, September 17.
